Emera, ATCO and Canadian Utilities announced a merger of equals on Tuesday that would create one of the 20 largest utilities in North America. The all-share deal values Canadian Utilities at about C$14.3 billion and gives the combined company an enterprise value of roughly C$72 billion, which the companies called the largest merger in Canadian history.
