Prosecuting Brown under the International Criminal Court Act 2001
A pre-trial hearing at the Old Bailey on October 9 set a provisional trial date of October 4, 2027, for the UK's first prosecution over the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb expects the trial to last eight to 12 weeks. A plea and case management hearing is set for January 15, 2027.
