Central Hillsborough Healthy Start in Tampa screened every pregnant woman in high-risk ZIP codes, sent nurses to their homes, and cut preterm births by 30%. Among single mothers, very preterm births dropped 52%; obese mothers saw a 61% reduction in extremely preterm births.
