Ran negative ads against Raman

Karen Bass conceded the Los Angeles mayor's race on Nov. 5, 2026. Late-counted ballots had pushed City Council member Nithya Raman to 52% of the vote, making her the first South Asian mayor of Los Angeles. She is the first challenger to unseat an incumbent since Antonio Villaraigosa defeated James Hahn in 2005.
