Rule Changes

Judge Kelly granted a 14-day order restoring access Sept. 24 and extended it with a preliminary injunction Oct. 14. An MS NOW reporter was denied entry Thursday morning; the White House restored the badge around noon. Later Thursday, MS NOW's Laura Barrón-López was also denied access to the Xi state dinner arrival.

On Oct. 13, a federal judge extended court-ordered White House access for CNN, MS NOW and Politico, ruling the ban likely violates the law. The order keeps the outlets credentialed while the lawsuit proceeds. The administration has appealed to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and its brief is due Nov. 13.
