Won 48 seats; all leaders back Eisenkot for prime minister

Israel's October 27 election left neither camp with the 61 seats needed to govern in the 120-seat Knesset. Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc won 53 seats, the opposition led by Gadi Eisenkot won 48, and Arab-led parties won 19. Netanyahu, Israel's longest-serving prime minister, now faces the prospect of being replaced by a coalition that depends on those Arab parties.
