Rule Changes

Judge Kelly granted a 14-day order restoring access Sept. 24 and extended it with a preliminary injunction Oct. 14. A Politico reporter was denied entry and had credentials confiscated Thursday morning; the White House restored the badges around noon.

On Oct. 13, a federal judge extended court-ordered White House access for CNN, MS NOW and Politico, ruling the ban likely violates the law. The order keeps the outlets credentialed while the lawsuit proceeds. The administration has appealed to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, and its brief is due Nov. 13.
