San Francisco supervisors voted to suspend Commissioner William Palmer, president of the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board, after a city watchdog found he used his public position for personal benefit. The same motion filed formal misconduct charges, which go to an ethics hearing before returning to the board for a final decision.
