Shwe Karen Market, the small grocery at 230 Front Avenue in Saint Paul, has disappeared from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's (MDA) list of active food establishment licenses. The store, which served the city's Karen community and accepted WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children) benefits, was last on the list when it was read on September 24.
