Acquisition target; will become part of Circle
Circle Internet Group, the New York-based issuer of the USDC stablecoin, announced September 8 that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered cross-border payments company, in an all-stock deal worth about $400 million. It is Circle's largest purchase since it bought the Poloniex exchange in 2018, and its first major acquisition since its June 2025 public listing.
