Weil Gotshal wind-down would cut dozens of Boston jobs

Announced firm wind-down; partner vote pending

Weil Gotshal & Manges is preparing to wind down, and its Boston office would lose about 50 attorneys and staff just months after moving into a larger Back Bay space. The firm's leaders recommended an orderly wind-down last week after high-earning partners left and merger talks failed, Boston.com reported. Partners still must vote on the proposal.
