AEP splits its transmission buildout between Jacobs and WSP

American Electric Power signed 15 gigawatts of new customer load in a single quarter, and about nine in ten gigawatts of its contracted pipeline is tied to data centers. On October 29 it handed the wiring to two engineering firms: Jacobs for seven eastern states, WSP USA for four western ones.
