FDA clears Protego's pivotal trial of PROT-001 for AL amyloidosis

The Food and Drug Administration cleared Protego Biopharma to start SHIELD-AL, a pivotal Phase 2/3 trial of PROT-001 in newly diagnosed lambda light chain AL amyloidosis. The oral drug will be tested as an add-on to standard plasma cell-directed therapy, which is currently the backbone of treatment.
