Historical figure; opened the plaza

Louisville has begun the first phase of rebuilding the Belvedere, the riverfront plaza that has anchored downtown since 1973. Crews are repairing and reinforcing the parking garage beneath it, the largest in the city. Work on the plaza itself is set to begin in Summer 2027.
