Ex-Warriors executives sue franchise over alleged discrimination, retaliation

Two former Golden State Warriors executives sued the franchise on August 25, alleging gender, age, and race discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Lisa Shelley, a former associate general counsel, and Jennifer Vasquez, the former vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion, filed six claims in San Francisco County Superior Court. The suit centers on their terminations in late 2025 and early 2026, which they say followed an NBA-wide employee survey that exposed poor scores in their departments.
