Confirmed no adverse flood impact in Indian border regions
A flash flood tore through Nepal's Rasuwa district on August 26, sending water, rock, and debris down the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers toward India. By evening, India's Central Water Commission warned the wave would hit the Gandak, and officials opened all 36 gates of the Valmikinagar barrage. Discharge peaked at 1.5 lakh cusecs (about 4.2 million liters per second) before falling to 81,000.
