Hong Kong's Eastern District floods when heavy rain hits: the streets are dense, the surfaces are impermeable, and the downstream drainage system is overloaded. A joint venture of Bouygues Travaux Publics and China Road and Bridge Corporation will build a 3.6km tunnel to intercept stormwater before it reaches the built-up area and divert it to the sea at Pak Sha Wan.
