The US Treasury removed Theint Win Htet from its Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list on Friday. She is the daughter of fuel tycoon Thein Win Zaw, whose Shwe Byain Phyu Group was sanctioned in January 2024 for supplying fuel to Myanmar's military.
