Voted for the quarter-point cut to 6.25%

Banco de México cut its benchmark interest rate to 6.25% on November 5, the lowest level since February 2022. Most economists expected the board to leave it at 6.50%. The vote was 3-2, with two deputy governors arguing to hold.
