Reopened the bakery in September 2026 after closing in February while she recovered from an illness

Yvonne's Southern Sweets reopened Sept. 16 with limited hours, Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m., after closing in early February while owner Yvonne Hines recovered from an illness. The Bayview bakery at 5128 Third St. brought back its full menu, including 7up pound cake, peach cobbler and pecan pralines, with the 48-hour advance rule for cakes and large trays still in place.
