First US airport gaming lounge, Dallas–Fort Worth (2021)
Gameway opened what it billed as one of the first dedicated airport video game lounges in the United States at Dallas–Fort Worth International, with private Xbox, PlayStation, and PC stations in a post-security space.
Travelers could pay by the hour or use lounge memberships, and the format drew foot traffic in a terminal setting.
Gameway expanded the model to other US airports, including Los Angeles, pairing gaming with snacks and drinks.
The DFW launch set the template this LAX Terminal 6 location follows: gaming stations, lounge-program access, and alcohol service once licensed.
