Grandview's own 1970s adaptation (1973-1975)
After George Grandstrom died in 1972, the theatre underwent a major renovation and then converted its balcony into a second screening room, becoming Grandview 1 & 2.
The twinning let the cinema run more titles and compete with multiplexes.
The 1975 conversion is why the venue still operates as a two-screen house today.
The Grandview has adapted before; whether it can adapt again is the open question behind this licence lapse.
