Representing disqualified parties and candidates in appeal

Israel's Central Elections Committee voted Wednesday to disqualify both main Arab-majority lists from the October 27 Knesset election: Ra'am, led by Mansour Abbas, and the Joint List, the alliance of Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad. The committee also barred Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh and Hadash MK Ofer Cassif individually.
