2026 event concluded Oct. 3; winners announced

Grand Rapids added evening and weekend shifts to its Homeless Outreach Team for ArtPrize, a 16-day test that ran Sept. 18 to Oct. 3 while an estimated million visitors crowded downtown. The festival is over, and the city has not said whether the extra hours will continue.

Rule Changes

16th edition concluded Oct. 3; more than 20 artists received prize money and the closing fashion show set a Guinness World Record

ArtPrize's 16th edition ended Oct. 3 at Acrisure Amphitheater, where more than 20 artists took home prize money. The $100,000 public-vote grand prize went to a 24-foot accordion-style food diary; the $100,000 juried grand prize went to an artist who painted an entire room in trompe l'oeil. Bryan Cranston presented awards.
