Will spin off industrial services as New ATCO

Emera, ATCO and Canadian Utilities announced a merger of equals on Tuesday that would create one of the 20 largest utilities in North America, with an all-share deal valuing Canadian Utilities at about C$14.3 billion and a combined enterprise value of roughly C$72 billion. Shares of both companies fell on the announcement, with Emera down about 3% and Canadian Utilities down 2%.
