Assessing damage to desalination infrastructure

For over two weeks since February 28, the US-Iran war has primarily targeted military sites and oil facilities. The March 8 Iranian drone strike damaging a Bahrain desalination plant marked the first confirmed hit on Gulf water infrastructure, injuring three people and damaging a university building. Bahrain's water authority reported no supply disruptions, but the attack followed a US strike on Iran's Qeshm Island plant days earlier that cut water to 30 villages.
