Former parent company of Embecta; no remaining ownership stake
Embecta, a diabetes device company Becton Dickinson spun off in 2022, announced its first major acquisition March 19: Owen Mumford, a 74-year-old British medical device maker, for up to £150 million. The deal adds Owen Mumford's Aidaptus auto-injector platform and shifts Embecta from insulin syringes into injectable drug delivery for obesity treatments, autoimmune therapies, and emergency anaphylaxis care.
