Regulator — approved the project's special land use request

The $19 million project depends on Commonwealth Development Corporation winning federal low-income housing tax credits; a decision is expected in late January or early February.

Approved demolition special land use request 5-2 on Aug. 13
A vacant two-story brick office building on Grand Rapids' southwest side is coming down. Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling won a 5-2 planning commission vote Aug. 13 to demolish the structure at 1208 Butterworth St. SW and pave the lot for truck parking.
