Buried in a cubic kilometer of Antarctic ice, the IceCube Neutrino Observatory catches particles that pass through Earth untouched. A ScienceDaily feature published Nov. 2 describes how it detects cosmic neutrinos with about 10 billion times the energy of typical solar neutrinos.
