Salt Lake City will close blocks of North Temple, West Temple and South Temple from March through October 2027, when the renovated Salt Lake Temple opens to the public. The church expects about 22,000 visitors a day, comparable to a general conference crowd, and has secured two west-side park-and-ride lots with more than 1,700 stalls.

Fans at Saturday's Utah Mammoth preseason game will be the first to sit in 1,500 new full-view seats at Salt Lake City's Delta Center. The seats are the second phase of a rebuild converting the 35-year-old arena from a basketball-first building into a home for both the NBA's Jazz and the NHL's Mammoth.

Buying a $40,000 car in Salt Lake City now costs $400 more in sales tax. The extra cost comes from a 1% surcharge funding Delta Center renovations for two teams: the NBA's Utah Jazz and the NHL's Utah Mammoth, both owned by Qualtrics founder Ryan Smith.
