Reciprocal checks on Italy were set to lapse Oct 22 after extensions, and the ministry agreed Oct 22 to lift them from Oct 23

Italy and Spain agreed on October 22 to end the border checks they had imposed on each other. The decision followed a phone call between the interior ministers, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and Matteo Piantedosi.
