A Korean katsu restaurant in North San Jose cleared a state hurdle this month: the right to sell beer and wine. The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) issued Yumee Katsu a type 41 license on September 17, 2026, for its spot at 1698 Hostetter Road, Suite L.

Yumee Katsu, a Bay Area mini-chain known for panko-crusted pork and chicken cutlets, has registered a location in San Francisco's Lower Pacific Heights. The address is 2340 Geary Boulevard, and the business filed its city registration on June 1.
