Seven Ethiopian armed groups announced a joint coalition on September 20, binding rebel movements from the country's largest regions under a single banner. The alliance, called the Ethiopian Peoples' Forces Alliance for Survival, aims to overthrow Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's government and install an inclusive transitional administration.
