Syrian court sentences two to death over 2025 coastal violence

Sentenced to 20 years in prison

A Syrian military court sentenced two men to death on October 15 for their role in the 2025 coastal violence that killed more than 1,400 people. In the same rulings, it convicted four members of the new government's security forces for killings and torture. The same court's first verdicts in the case, on September 17, had already sentenced one man to death and a former government forces member to 20 years.
