Advancing a competing inhalable 5-MeO-DMT product
A single dose of mebufotenin benzoate nasal spray reduced depression scores for at least eight weeks in a 193-patient trial published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. The psychedelic chemical, found in Sonoran Desert toad venom, cut scores on the Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) by 11.1 points at day 29 with a 12-milligram dose, versus 5.8 points for a 0.3-milligram comparator.
