Hoshi Ramen debuts in Dayton, Ohio (July 2019)
Executive Chef Minchun Li opened Hoshi Ramen in Dayton with help from his parents, Anna and Sheng, whose family had run a restaurant in the city since 1986. The menu features tonkotsu and shoyu ramen, bao buns, and donburi.
The shop established the Hoshi Ramen brand as a family-run eatery with a multi-generational cooking background.
The name has since spread; a separate Hoshi Ramen operates in the 805 area code in California. No confirmed corporate link connects these to the Salt Lake City filing.
The new Salt Lake County record is named HOSHI HOSHI RAMEN & SUSHI, a similar but not identical brand. Whether it is a family expansion or an unrelated use of the name is not confirmed in public records.
