Thailand halved visa-free stays for most foreign tourists on September 15. The 60-day exemption that about 93 countries and territories had held since July 2024 is gone, replaced by a 30-day window for 60 nationalities. Mauritius and Seychelles now get 15 days, and only Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia remain on the Visa on Arrival list.

The Interior Ministry published the rules in the Royal Gazette on August 31. They apply to the date a traveler enters Thailand, not the booking date. Anyone admitted before September 15 keeps the full stay stamped in their passport.
