Landlord at 401 Park Drive in the Fenway, adding tech and innovation tenants alongside labs

MassChallenge announced on October 26 that it will move its global headquarters from the Seaport to 401 Park Drive in the Fenway. The nonprofit signed a 22,500-square-foot lease at Alexandria Real Estate Equities' campus, about the same size as its office on Fan Pier.

Selling assets amid a life science leasing slump

Alexandria Real Estate Equities, the nation's largest life science landlord, has agreed to sell its 421 Park Drive lab tower in Boston's Fenway before construction wraps up. An institutional investor will take on about $136 million in remaining lab improvements, which Alexandria says cuts its construction spending.
