Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport is partly open for domestic flights and some international services, and the airports in Jeddah and Dammam are running with delays. Air India, Air India Express and IndiGo have suspended Saudi flights to November 14, and Akasa Air has paused Riyadh service to November 30.

Yemen's Saudi-backed government says its forces have retaken ground near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and around Taiz since the 'Dawn of Yemen' campaign began on October 4. The Houthis have answered with missiles and drones aimed at Saudi airports and oil sites, including a strike on Riyadh's main airport on October 10 that killed at least 13 people.

Ship crossings through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait fell to 15 on Friday, half the previous day's total. Houthi rebels seized Perim Island that day, completing their takeover of the strait that carries 10 to 12 percent of global trade.
