Buquebus put China Zorrilla into commercial service between Buenos Aires and Colonia in late October 2026. An official launch ceremony was held in Buenos Aires on October 21, and sailings began from October 22. The ship was ordered in 2019 as a diesel ferry and redesigned as fully electric after a pandemic pause.

Wärtsilä booked a 282 MW order to power a US data center with 15 natural gas engines, set for delivery in 2028 and full operation in 2029. The company is sold out for 2028 and now selling capacity for 2029 and 2030 as AI demand outstrips grid connections.
