Borkum Riffgrund 3 began commercial operation on August 31, 2026, adding 913 megawatts (MW) of offshore wind to Germany's grid. On September 24, Ørsted and co-owner Nuveen formally inaugurated the farm, which sits 72 kilometers off the North Sea coast and is one of Germany's largest operating offshore wind projects.

Ørsted finished the major construction on its 920 MW Greater Changhua 2b and 4 offshore wind farms off Taiwan's coast on September 2. The 66-turbine project is the company's second gigawatt-scale wind farm in Taiwan.
