Power is back on at Abuja's Apo substation. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) restored supply by 4:08 p.m. on September 6, after crews fixed faults on two 132 kilovolt (kV) lines.

The planned outage, announced the day before, cut power to Lugbe, Garki, Area 1, National Hospital, Guzape, Asokoro and nearby areas. Crews latched optical ground wire (OPGW) on Apo Lines 1 and 2 between towers T130 and T132. It was the latest in a series of maintenance events at a substation serving much of Nigeria's capital.
