A 50,000-square-foot space at San Francisco's City Center that has sat empty since Best Buy left in 2017 will reopen November 5 as T&T Supermarket. The Taiwanese Canadian chain's second Bay Area store will be its first US location with a café, serving black sesame and ube lattes alongside Portuguese egg tarts.

A Pacific Heights building that once housed Academy of Art University students now hosts about 20 startup founders. They pay $2,000 a month for three-month residencies at 1916 Octavia St., one of three buildings the university leases to The Residency, a founder hostel with four San Francisco locations.

Celebrated Uniqlo's opening with street festival and collaborations
Uniqlo opened its downtown San Francisco flagship at 801 Market Street on October 9, five years after closing its Powell Street store. The 20,000-square-foot two-floor store, its largest on the West Coast, brought a free street festival with local artists, musicians,and community groups to Market, Ellis,and Powell streets.

The Federal Aviation Administration has committed $14.5 million to San Francisco International Airport to begin fixing Taxiway B, the strip of pavement planes use to move between runways and gates. The award record says it funds the first phase: design and construction of 2,225 feet of the 4,825-foot taxiway.
